Hula Sessions

The Graeme Mearns Band moderated their lyrics for a daytime audience of dancing children and laid back Sunday afternooners. They rocked!

Massage, recycling, summer smoothies, wheatgrass, gigs....

Oh yes!

It might be raining in July but it's summer all year at Hula!

Massage. 11am on Tuesdays. Tested out by the Hula Team... totally excellent way to start the day.

£15 for 15 mins massage PLUS a delicious life-giving smoothie afterwards. Bookings being taken, call 0131 220 1121 or email back.

We're now recycling our fruit pulp and orange peel in the name of the planet. We've juiced about 30,000 oranges so that's a lot of munching for our wee worms. Anyone got plants? Need plant food. The best to be had. First bottle free.

We got wheatgrass. It's the best in town. No question. It's organic, it's fresh, and we talk to it to make it grow healthy. (We talk to all our plants.)

Gig tomorrow at Hula Victoria Street. The Graeme Mearns Band. Ace. Get here. 5pm. Free entry. They call us the hippest new bar in town.... and we don't even do alcohol! We must be doing something real well.

And .... from Monday 23rd Hula at Tollcross will stay open till 7pm, and even later on Saturdays when we'll be juicing till 8 for all the cinema goers and Tollcross locals.

Come along and support the Hulagan who is on the late shift, there'll be tasters and chat to be had.

Love Team Hula

We got worms!

Anxious to be as eco-friendly as we can, we've got us some wormeries!

Lots of little wormy boogers will be chomping through our veggie waste and producing some sweeeet fertiliser!

Now you can feed yourself and your plants with Hula produce!

Gordon Grahame, aka Lucky Jim plays Hula Victoria Street

Hula is excited to announce the appearance of Gordon Grahame aka Lucky Jim for a solo acoustic performance.

Only Edinburgh performance as part of a wider tour.

Hula Victoria Street. Thursday 12th July. 6pm. FREE entry. Get here early!

Edinburgh born, Gordon was part of the exceptional Lost Soul Band before spending a few years in Amsterdam and Paris where he played with Jeff Buckley and Rufus Wainwright amongst others. Now London/Brighton-based, Gordon is making beautiful music solo again. Signed to Skint records Our Troubles End Tonight was the first Lucky Jim album. Since then two albums have followed - All The Kings Horses (Amazon) and Let It Come (online only). Gordon's played with Money Mark, The Frames and a host of other suitably gifted artists. Do not miss this gig if you are in Edinburgh! The opportunity to see Gordon Grahame (and to see him for free) does not come up often...!

Check out www.myspace.com/luckyjimmusic or pop into Hula in advance where you'll likely get a blast of the tunes.

We're famous!

Well, in the Evening News is a good start?
